The "Trash Can Delegation" From Norfolk – We Were Reinstated At The District Convention Where Everyone Cleaned House!

Update from Virginia.

In the 3rd congressional district, which contains the largest naval base in the world, so right in the center of the Military Industrial Complex, Ron Paul supporters carried the district in the primary, and I am proud to say, made a clean sweep in the district convention:

1) 3 national delegates and three alternate delegates
2) 3 central committee members
3) 1 elector
4) And a new Chair of the 3rd District

The new chair Chris Stearns, is a young, energetic, articulate, Ron Paul supporter. He brought about 100 new delegates (including me) to the convention, infusing it with alot of new blood.

The Times They Are A’ Changin’: And Right Now Ron Paul Leads the Way

http://youtu.be/vCWdCKPtnYE

...But instead of embracing the new and fresh energy Ron Paul has brought into the party, a party which desperately needs young people to be sustainable going forward, the GOP has dug in its heals and declared that it will not bend to the Ron Paul barbarians. You know the barbarians who actually believe in free enterprise and small government. The GOP is the establishment’s party. Ron Paul is not invited.

A Crack in THE FED’s foundation

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2c/Montview_...

I am an active Ron Paul volunteer from Lynchburg, Virginia.

Something very sweet happened Tuesday that I want everyone to know. Our group of dedicated volunteers are celebrating with BIG SMILES because of what happened here in the heart of Virginia.

Remember Virginia only had Dr. Paul and Mitt Romney on the ballot due to the other guys not submitting the qualifying signatures with the State Election officials. Well Romney won the beauty show 60/ 40%. However in Lynchburg Ron Paul won 51/49% and sweeter still- Lynchburg's newly created voting precinct on the campus of Liberty University voted for Ron Paul 60/40%, just the opposite of the state.

Here's the sweet irony: Lynchburg Virginia is the home of Carter Glass, the same Carter Glass who as the 6th Congressional District Representative and Democrat who co-authored and introduced the U.S. House Bill in 1913 known as the Glass-Owen Act, aka THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT, which after approval in both houses and President Woodrow Wilson's signature established THE FED.

Liberty University now owns the Mansion and surrounding land of Carter Glass (Montview), a sublime, poignant and sweet symbol of things to come. In Mr. Glass's own FRONT YARD which is now the campus of "LIBERTY" University, the FED was overwhelmingly rejected!!!

From SYMBOL to SUBSTANCE WE FIGHT ON!!!

Ron Paul’s Virginia surprise

Ron Paul is receiving 41 percent of the vote statewide. That is by far the largest percentage of the vote he has won in any state since he began running for president in 2008. Paul’s previous high was 35 percent in the Maine caucuses last month.

Paul almost certainly benefited from the fact that he was the only non-Romney on the ballot in Virginia. People who support former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Pennsylvania Rick Santorum likely cast their vote for Paul not because they support the Texas libertarian but because they want to weaken Romney.

And, Paul’s showing — though it exceeded expectations — won’t help him much in the delegate chase. Paul looks likely to win just three of the state’s 46 delegates with Romney netting the other 43.

Got 6 votes for RP in Northern VA… and I don’t even live there. :)

So I have family and friends in Northern VA... and I've been drowning them in my love of liberty and Ron Paul. So although I can't vote in VA... I am now DIRECTLY responsible for 6 RP votes in that district! Hell, I even drove with my buddy to the "in person absentee" voting area a half hour away (after I drove 250 miles down there) since he would be out of the state today, and then took him out to "Freedom Lunch". :-D

Regardless of the outcome, I already feel awesome that I was able to get 6 votes for RP in a state where I don't even live.

BOOM!

My email to Rush (MUST READ!)

The only excited voters now...

...are the crazy nutjobs who support Ron Paul.

Even you, Rush, aren't excited about Romnantorich.  If you were, you would tell the world, and the media would declare your endorsement as the end of the Republican Primaries.  You won't though, because Romnantorich is McCain '08.

The Republucan Primaries of 2012 have become the Democrat(ic) Primaries of 2004, where "Anybody But Bush" has become "Anybody But Obama."

I heard you talk about the Constitution.  As a 12-year active duty Naval Submarine Officer, I defend the Constitution every day.  And (that's right, here it comes), there is ONE candidate who defended the Constitution during the Cold War and has been defending the Constitution since he's been in office:  Congressman Ron Paul.

It is time for the Republican Party to open their eyes to the true meaning and purpose of the Constitution.  If they continue to use the symbol of the Constitution to achieve their own objectives, just as the Democrats use it, you will see the next generation of voters (the one you, the media, and your colleagues continue to ignore and deride) leave the party in search of something more pure and more noble than you have ever seen before.  And you will be left scratching your head as you grow old(er) and grey(er), not realizing you could have been part of the beginning of the Second American Revolution.

Sincerely,
Adam C. for Ron Paul

Only Two Republican Candidates on Virginia Ballot

In Virginia, real change candidate and Champion of the Constitution Ron Paul will face down establishment flip-flopper Mitt Romney

Ron Paul, the constitutionally-observant candidate of real change, will face down establishment candidate and notorious flip-flopper Mitt Romney in a head-to-head matchup in the Virginia primary.

The Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied four candidates’ appeals to appear on the ballot after their glaring failure to comply with the Commonwealth’s stringent, but widely-known, ballot access requirements.

Former candidate Jon Huntsman and Rick Santorum did not file signatures with the Virginia State Board of Elections at all. Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich did file signatures, but fell short of qualifying. Rick Perry then brought a suit against the state challenging the ballot-access requirements to which all candidates were held, and others failing to qualify joined the suit. When the suit was struck down, an injunction was filed in part to reconcile whether and when paper ballots would be printed, and today the final decision was handed down.

Virginia is the nation’s 12th-largest state and its primary election takes place on March 6th – Super Tuesday. The absence of any other candidates on the ballot aside from Paul and Romney, including serial hypocrite Gingrich and counterfeit conservative Santorum, is sending ripple effects throughout key early voting states including South Carolina where Palmetto State voters now are concerned about how their vote will affect the nominating process going forward.

For example, some voters might vote for a candidate with an organization too weak to comply with ballot access requirements. Voting for that candidate would result in a vote wasted, as were the votes of many for candidates who exited the race like Michele Bachmann and Jon Huntsman. Others ponder that only one veteran of the armed forces – Ron Paul – will be on the ballot in Virginia, a state so steeped in military tradition. Still others have observed that only one Evangelical Christian will appear on the ballot there. Indeed, there are many questions.

One thing is certain. And that is, the decision has upended what plaintiffs against the Commonwealth and voters nationwide had expected just hours ago when plaintiffs held onto thin hopes of a reversal, or a convenient exception to the rule of law.

“It’s over,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton. “Ron Paul, the candidate of real change, will face off against establishment flip-flopper Mitt Romney in the Virginia primary, making that that Tuesday less ‘super’ for serial hypocrite Newt Gingrich, counterfeit conservative Rick Santorum, and Rick Perry, who I should mention is marginally attached to the presidential race.”

“This legal development affirms that this Republican nominating contest has always been a two-man race between the candidates with the resources and organization required for a 50-state race. Voters nationwide should get behind the candidate of real change as he competes nationwide – and nationwide means a lot of states, including large ones like Virginia,” said Mr. Benton.

“Right now South Carolina voters have vital information helpful for deciding not only who the authentic conservative in the race is – Ron Paul – but whether that candidate leaves South Carolina with a ticket that actually gets him somewhere,” added Mr. Benton.
